先日、屋根及び外壁塗装工事を賜り、施工することになりました。
そのお宅の屋根は、ガルバリュウム鋼板葺きの屋根でした。
ガルバリュウム鋼板(アルミ・亜鉛合金メッキ鋼板)は、耐久性に優れた材料ですが、鋼板でできているため、太陽光中の赤外線により加熱されやすく、屋根表面温度が上昇することによって、その熱の伝わりにより室内の温度も上昇することがあります。(建物の断熱性能等により差があります。)
そこで、いくつかの、屋根用塗装材のなかから遮熱塗料を施工することになりました。
既存ガルバリュウム鋼板の塗装面も劣化していましたので、洗浄後サンドペーパーでケレンをし、下塗り材(2液型強溶剤変成エポキシ樹脂プライマー)塗装後、遮熱塗料2回塗りをし、施工は完了しました。
遮熱塗料は、断熱ではないので、冬の寒さには、効果がありません。主に夏の室内温度を低減することを目的とした塗料です。施工は、無事完了しましたが、遮熱の効果がすぐにはわかりません
遮熱塗料の効果は、次の夏に施主様の感想をお伺いに行く予定にしてます。
